sUsHi

Have you ever eat sushi before? well sushi is becoming everyone's favourite nowadays...i can still remember in the year 2004, i was 14 years old back then, it was my first time eating sushi~i ate maki sushi and i nearly vomit because i cannot tolerate the taste..it was very unfamiliar to my tongue. But now i can eat sushi as many as i want..it has become one of my favourite food, it is very fresh and delicious, plus it is very good for our health too!

Here i want to share with all of you on HOW TO EAT SUSHI ^___^

Eat Sushi
If you've never eaten sushi before but want to try it, you might feel intimidated by unfamiliar food, presentation, and traditions. The flavor (and your experience) of sushi is greatly influenced not only by how it's prepared, but also by how you eat it. These guidelines will help you know what to expect and how to thoroughly enjoy your first sushi adventure.

1) Choose a reputable sushi restaurant. This is especially important for the first-time sushi eater. Poorly prepared fish can ruin the experience and make you never want to eat sushi again, especially if you're not particularly fond of seafood to begin with. You can do more experimenting with where you eat once you've had a few positive experiences with sushi, but when you're starting out, play it safe.

2) Sit at the sushi bar if you can. This will give you the opportunity to interact with the sushi chef and inspect the quality of the fish (which should be on display, and should not look dry).

3) Place your order. Order the sushi items directly from the chef if possible and order non-sushi items from a server (never from the chef). Ask him what he recommends, and if you can have whatever he thinks is freshest. Since sushi has raw fish, the fresher it is, the better it'll taste. Be careful in how you phrase it, though. Asking "Is it fresh?" might be insulting, because it implies that some of the fish might not be fresh. Just ask for whatever is freshest. If you want to eat something while the sushi is being prepared, ask for edamame (boiled soy beans), suimono (clear broth) or misoshiru (fermented soy bean soup). Choose from green tea, beer, sake, or water to drink; soft drinks will overpower the subtle flavors of sushi. Here is an overview of the kinds of sushi you can try:

  • Sashimi - Slices of raw fish (without rice)
  • Nigiri - A slice of raw fish over an oval of rice
  • Maki- Typically one or two types of fish or vegetable rolled with rice in a sheet of roasted seaweed and cut into bite-sized portions. A good starting point for people who are squeamish about eating raw fish.
  • Temaki - Similar to maki, except the ingredients are rolled into a cone shape that you hold and bite into the way you would a taco.

4) Clean your hands before eating sushi. Many sushi bars will provide a hot moist towel for this purpose prior to serving food. Although many people choose to use chopsticks, it is entirely acceptable to eat sushi with your hands.

5) Know your condiments. Typically, a plate of sushi will include wasabi (the green ball of paste) and pickled ginger (thin, pink slices placed right next to the wasabi). In addition, you will be provided a small shallow dish to dip your sushi in soy sauce. Pour soy sauce in the tiny plate, half-full or less.
  • Be careful when dipping Nigiri into the soy sauce. If you dip the rice into the soy sauce, it will fall apart.Instead, take the whole piece in your hands and dip it in the soy sauce fish end down.
  • If the sushi already has sauce on it, do not dip it in the soy sauce. Try enjoying it as the chef seasoned it.
  • Alternatively, you can use chopsticks to dip the ginger in the soy sauce, and then use it to brush the sauce onto the fish rather than dip the fish directly. This gives just the "essence" of ginger, and the ginger is then not directly eaten.
  • Don't overdo it on the wasabi. It is very easy to overpower the delicate flavors of sushi with a heavy combination of soy sauce and wasabi. Taste the sushi without extra wasabi first, then add a small amount directly to each piece if you desire. Be aware that sometimes nigiri has wasabi tucked in between the fish and rice; sushi prepared this way rarely needs extra wasabi. Although some people choose to mix the wasabi paste with the soy sauce, this practice makes it hard to control the balance of spicy and salty flavors and may be considered disrespectful to the sushi chef.
  •
  • 6) Eat the sushi in one bite. If the piece is too big, eat it in two bites. Pay attention to both the flavors and the textures. You may be surprised with how mild and tender the fish is. Remember that you're not supposed to be overwhelmed with strength of flavor here, but with the balance of flavors and textures. Take the time to enjoy it!
  •
  • 7) Refresh your mouth with a slice of ginger, particularly between eating different types of sushi. Do not eat it in the same bite as sushi.
  •
  • 8) Eat everything on your plate. Unless you truly can't eat another bite, try to finish everything that was served to you.
THERE YOU GO~~ENJOY UR SUSHI GUYS!

SUMBER DARI OH ISLAM YANG KITE PASTE KAN DALAM NI.. (^_^)

Ini antara artikel yang ditulis selebriti dikenali ramai, Wardina di Facebooknya dengan tajuk “BERBALOI PENAT LELAH KU…”
Dear Mama, Ummi, Mum, Ibu, Bonda…

I have to share this with you… because i feel so happy and i feel that all my penat lelah paid off…I started to make my Amna to solat 5 times a day when she was 7, on her 7th birthday…we had a talk…(check note lama) tapi preparation since 6 la…

tapi dari kecik memang selalu ikut2 la kami solat….she hasnt missed her solat since. Walaupun lambat, tetap solat. I made sure of that – because the key is SOLAT ni kalau tak tanam dari kecik memang LIAT nanti….But it is very important to keep this in mind:-

1) kalau kita bagi dia tinggal WALAUPUN sekali nanti we are sending the wrong signal – kena make sure – every waktu without fail, walaupun penat, ataupun lambat

2) l Selalu kalau boleh solat together..mula2 memang kena solat together….kalau tak ada rumah make sure an adult in the house pastikan anak kita solat. (hari tu Amna pergi her reading class, i asked her teacher to take her to the surau) -lepas solat time tu lah peluk cium, senyum – i always kiss her at the head and say “Barakallahufiha” Ya Allah make my Amna a good Muslim Ya Allah….make her never miss her solat Ya Allah…..kuat2 bagi dia dengar….

ps:- kalau kena amik cuti ambillah – bukan waktu exam je amik cuti – buatlah STEP ini, yakni melangkah ke alam 7 thaun dan tidak meninggalkan solat A BIG Thing! “mama amik cuti hari ni sebab nak pastikan yang adik solat 5 waktu sehari!”

3) Selalu cerita how IMPORATNT it is to solat..how Allah is watching us… how we are good Muslims when we solat, how Allah loves us, Solat tu, untuk kita, bukan untuk Allah…..TAPI selalu jugak cerita yang akan ada orang TAK solat…acknowledge the fact that sometimes we feel lazy to solat….itu semua kerja SETAN! Fight them off….! I tell Amna that even some grown ups tak solat! I tell Amna that….we have to be strong.. we have to tell ourselves we will NEVER miss our solat…..

4) Awal2 subuh ni memang tak bangunkan, tapi as soon as dia bangun pagi, ill ask her to solat straight away.(yes memang leceh..but we have to, and we have to do it with LOVE diselang seli dgn strictness)

5) kalau dia tinggal – DENGAN sengaja, i take the rotan and hit her on her tapak tangan slowly, just as a reminder. After that i hug her and tell her i love her, and i just want her to remember – and guess what?? memang dia ingat!!! (3 kali baru, i think not bad, sampai satu hari dia terlambat solat, sebab keluar dan memang tak ingat, dia yang suruh rotan) But i tell her kalau TERLUPA atau TERTIDUR its ok…but kena solat terus bila bangun.

Macam ni ceritanya, i told Amna, kalau Ummi ambik Amna dari sekolah lambat, Amna solat dulu Asar kat sekolah….tadi memang datang lambat…i was loking for her..and guess what????

She was actually praying her Asar prayers…sorang je kat dalam surau tu….i wanted to pengsan and cry…she did all by herself…. i pun told her how happy and how proud i was of her…i tanya dia kenapa? dia kata “Amna ingat apa Ummi cakap”…..cair nya hatiku ini.

Apa lagi, Ummi ni peluk cium dia….and called nenek at Australia…now im sharing with all of you!!! Because i want us to raise generation of good Muslims that are disciplined, smart, intelligent -that remembers Allah because the world so BADLY needs good QUALITY Muslims like this!!!

And the foundation is – to start them off right – solat at SEVEN! Yes just as how Rasulullah asked us!I love you all!!! Good night….. But the key to all this IS Mak Ayah KENA dan WAJIB solat dulu…anak ketam tak boleh diajar berjalan terus…fahamkan?

MY EXAMINATION, MY VIEW~

apart from stressing out during the final examinations i notice that i have some beautiful view that always come across my eyes during this special final examinations period.
here, i would like to share with you some of it....

THIS IS ONE OF THE EXAMINATION VENUE: THE BANQUET HALL
nice isn't it?

Now it was exam time, so the hall was stacked with exam seats. The good side of this is that you can see just how big the hall is. I calculated 312 chairs in that hall at that time.

The hall is very well lit with natural lighting. Lights are really not required as the event will be held during the day.

It was indeed thrilling to have such a lovely and nice place as my examination venue~~hehe

something that can make my mind cool down during the exam is when i see this on the exam paper:-->

Now i have another 5 papers to go..that means i have 5 subjects to be mastered before sitting the next coming
exam…
hopefully we can going it smoothly without any fear and of course  He will
always be with us..amin~!!..
Good Luck ~~!!!!!>>>>>…

10 fun things I DARE YOU TO DO DURING AN EXAM~~~!

When it comes to taking exams, most people become a nervous wreck. It got me thinking, what if we could just act silly and not get penalized? Ha-ha, here are some of my favorite ideas..

1.Go in to take the exam, sit down and about 5 minutes in, tear the exam in small pieces, throw them in the air and yell "merry Christmas!" then pause, and ask for another one. Tell them you never got an exam.

2.Randomly, clap your hands loudly and if questioned as to why you are doing that, tell the instructor the light bulb in your head and you need to turn it back on (like a clapper)!

3.pass notes to your instructor commenting on the bearded man in the desk monitoring the class (ie. him)

4.Try to get everyone in the room to do the wave.

5.Bring a cheat sheet (one that has nothing to do with the subject, ex. science notes to a Spanish exam) and turn it in with your exam and ask your instructor to review it for you.

6.Bring an unusual doll, sit it on your desk and pray to it every so often.

7.Refuse to meet his demands (taking the exam) unless he sits you next to the class hottie.

8.Read the questions out loud and ask the call out the wrong answers (to avoid getting in BIG trouble do the following "professor Ahamad, is #1 'A' ?". You'd be surprised how many dummies will jot down this answer!

9.Challenge the person next to you to a dance off.

10.Get the exam, put it in your backpack and say you will bring it back later.

Lol, obviously this is just wishful thinking, if your professor doesn't have a sense of humor, do not try! Ha-ha.

NORMALLY THIS WHAT HAPPENS TO ALL THE UNIVRSITY STUDENT *including me* WHEN IT COME TO THE EDGE OF FINAL EXAMS!!! ::--

BUT one thing I KEEP IN MIND~~~

WELL IT IS TRUE WASN'T IT????
ACTUALLY IT'S UP TO US WHAT TO DO WITH OUR STRESS~~
IF WE TAKE IT NEGATIVELY THEN IT WILL HAVE NEGATIVE EFFECT ON US,
BUT IF WE TAHE IT POSITIVELY IT CAN BE GOOD AND WONDERFUL FOR US~!
so you decide what you want to do with your exam stress~~

LIFE: X SIMPLE!!!

I’m trying to put all the pieces together so I can figure out why it is happening
But there are moments in life that you can never understand
It’s confusing and heart breaking, and when your heart cries for help,
No one even notices it, like you don’t even exist
Death is the biggest tragedy in someone’s life
It just takes the person away without leaving anything behind
Not even their memories, as they start to disappear as time passes

Truth can hurt people’s feelings
But at the same time lies are worst
They can destroy people’s lives without even realising
Living your life by denying the truth can leave a permanent mark on your heart
The mark that would never allow you to be happy again
As you feel like you can’t trust anyone again

I sit there looking at the pictures and remembering the memories
The memories that bring that smile back on my face
As if I’m reliving them and that he is here with me
I wake up one night calling his name, wondering if he is okay,
I see him every time I close my eyes; he is sitting there smiling at me
It makes me miss him more and more each day

I know that people come and go
And you should never cling on to someone
Because they will let you down, not everyone manage to keep their promises
But sometimes I feel like I can’t let go, like I am nothing without that person
I wonder if I will ever get chance to see him again
If he still remembers who I am, if he still loves me the way he used to
I just wish I could have him back in my life

When I first heard the news I was in shock,
I couldn’t bare thought of seeing another day light without him around
There aren’t words that could even describe how I felt.
People say he only moved from one life to another, but they don’t understand how it feels to lose someone,
You wouldn’t careless whether there is another world,
They not in the same world as you anymore and that’s what hurts you

Something’s that you experience in life,
Makes you appreciate what you still have left
But when you ignore your life, the world starts to ignore your existence
It’s weird how everything turns to be your enemy
You just feel like running away
You start living in the lie and avoid the truth

When someone pasts away, they say their ghosts are still around
As they don’t know what actually happens to them
They say every soul needs to feel the death that’s why people die
And some people need to get over their lost whether it’s hard or not
You can never win against death; it will defeat you no matter what!
What scares me about life is that everything happens suddenly
You can never expect to live for next day or still be round your loved once
You can lose your life in a blink of an eye

Sometimes something’s are best to be forgotten
It’s unbelievable what life can throw at you
You just have to be able to take it when it hits you
People say that most important thing in life is having faith and believing in it
But what if what you believed in was gone with the person that is gone
How can you say that there is more to life?
That what you believe in can still be succeeded

I wish I could move on and let go of him
But as much as I want to I can’t do it
It feels like he is the one who is hanging on to me
I say that I have put my past behind me
But I realised that I haven’t …
I’m just deluded my self in order to believe that I have chance in this life
